689BT scan tool newly adds ECU Coding The advanced coding function is used to re-flash the vehicle control modules, which allows you to update the computer software on the vehicle to the latest version, as well as to reprogram adaptive data for certain components after making repairs or replacements, providing solutions for the issues of drivability, fuel efficiency, power loss, fault codes, durability of mechanical parts etc. But please note, ecu coding are NOT universal for all vehicles, please check compatibility with VIN number before purchase.
You can modify the adaptive data for vehicle control modules, after repairs or replacements of vehicle parts including power window, illuminated entry, warning, light control, slide roof, air conditioner, and more.
✔ ECU Coding: Helps re-flash the vehicle control modules, it allows you to reprogram adaptive data for certain components after making repairs or replacements.
After we replace ECU modules, defective units, or certain parts we need to do the coding to make the replaced parts being stored and recognized by the ECU. 1. Oil Reset: reset the oil life system and turn off the oil light after oil or oil filter replacements.
2. EPB: reset the brake pad after replacing the brake pad, the servo motor, etc., deactivate/activate the brake control system, assist with brake fluid control, open and close brake pads, etc.
3. TPMS: reset the tire pressure and turn off the tire pressure fault indicator.
4. BMS: reset the monitoring unit of the car battery after replacing the battery or battery monitoring sensors.

How to Use The THINKSCAN 689BT？
Step 1. Plug the VCl into your vehicle's OBDII port / Data Link Connector (DLC). DLC is usually 12 inches away from the center of the instrument panel (dash), under or around the driver's side.
Step 2. Turn the vehicle ignition on.
Note: It is not necessary to start the engine.
Step 3. Power on the 689BT device.
Step 4. Once the Android system starts, set the language and Wi-Fi.
The device will then display the main interface. Select the desired function on the interface to access the corresponding diagnostic feature.
